This tutorial will show you how to do a trace route to a Hemingway Publications server. This will be very helpful for us to troubleshoot any latency or networking issue you may be experiencing.

STEP 1:

Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8:
Click on the orb (start menue), and choose Run. In the window that pops up, type cmd as follows:

Windows 10:
Right click on the windows icon and select "Command Prompt (Admin)"

STEP 2:

You should now see an open black DOS window. At the prompt sign, type in the following:
- tracert yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain with your actual domain.)

STEP 3:

You should see results similar to this (some areas have been blurred for privacy reasons) :

STEP 4:

Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8:
Right click inside the black window and click on select all. Now to copy this info. Simply hit "Enter" on your keyboard

Windows 10:
Hold down the left mouse key and simply scan over all the text and then use your "Ctrl"+"C" option to copy.

STEP 5:

Paste the info into a note pad and send the .txt file as an attachment to support@hemingwayonline.com
